A word that should have counted (or shouldn't)

The daily puzzle uses the original game's public word list, so if a word is rejected on the daily it is almost always because the original rejects it too; we can't add words there. Practice mode uses our own list, and that one we do correct. Please include the start word or puzzle number, the word you typed, and whether it was the daily or practice.

A wrong par or a missing route

Par and the list of shortest ladders are computed by exhaustive search, so a disagreement usually means a word-list difference. Tell us the puzzle number and the ladder you found and we'll check it against the list and publish a correction on that day's page if it holds.

A bug

Say what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened, plus device and browser ("iPhone, Safari", "Windows laptop, Chrome"). A screenshot helps. Progress and streaks are stored in your browser, so clearing site data or switching devices resets them.

Usually within a few days. Word-list and copy corrections ship with the next daily build.
